Just saw this on Trumpeter Nicholas Payton’s blog. This ls a letter from Herbert L. Clarke of the famed Clarke studies sent to Elden Benge who started the Benge Trumpet Company. This was around the time a lot of musicians were switching from Cornet over to trumpet. Check it out and let me know what you think…..

  1. It depends on what he especially heard what he named to be jaz.
    Jaz is such a wide thing. For me generally said, I like jazz when it contains
    beautiful melodic lines fitting the underlying sequence of chords.
